The Philadelphia directory and register for 1821 is made up from Whitely's Philadelphia directory for 1820, with a new t.p. and supplementary list of names and directory of institutions and societies (62 p.) prefixed
The Philadelphia directory and register for 1822 contains only a supplementary list of names for 1822 and a directory of institutions (74 p.)
The directories for 1835 and 1836 were issued as one directory
No directories issued for the years 1786-90, inclusive, 1792, 1812, 1815, 1826, 1827, 1832, 1834
Two separate directories were issued for each of the following years: 1785, 1796, 1811, 1817, 1823
Volumes for 1791, 1793-1797, 1799-1801, 1803, 1808, 1820-1822, and 1831 supplied for digitization by the Chester County Historical Society
Library's copy for 1809 is missing all between "Knight" and "Lewis" and has handwritten entries for these pages bound in
Library's copy for 1814 is missing all between ""NAG" and "OWE."
Library's copy for 1818 is missing all between "FUL" and "GLE."
Library's copy for 1833 contains blank leaves and pages for additions and corrections
